The cattle numbered<n id="1" /> 36,000; the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s tribute was 72.

So the anger of the <sc>Lordsc> was kindled that day, and he swore,

<t /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Arrest all the leaders<n id="1" /> of the people, and hang them up<n id="2" /> before the <sc>Lordsc> in broad daylight,<n id="3" /> so that the fierce anger of the <sc>Lordsc> may be turned away from Israel.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">The Israelites did according to all that the <sc>Lordsc> commanded Moses<n id="1" /> &#8211; that is what they did.p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">Now these are the records<n id="2" /> of Aaron and Moses when<n id="3" /> the <sc>Lordsc> spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.

So Moses numbered all the firstborn males among the Israelites, as the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded him.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;All the days that he separates himself to the <sc>Lordsc> he must not contact<n id="1" /> a dead body.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;Then the priest must present all these<n id="1" /> before the <sc>Lordsc> and offer<n id="2" /> his purification offering and his burnt offering.

You are to have the Levites stand before Aaron<n id="1" /> and his sons, and then offer them as a wave offering to the <sc>Lordsc>.

So Moses said to them, &#8220;Remain<n id="1" /> here and I will hear<n id="2" /> what the <sc>Lordsc> will command concerning you.&#8221;p>

And when the ark traveled, Moses would say, &#8220;Rise up, O <sc>Lordsc>! May your enemies be scattered, and may those who hate you flee before you!&#8221;

When the people cried to Moses, he<n id="1" /> prayed to the <sc>Lordsc>, and the fire died out.<n id="2" />

So he called the name of that place Taberah<n id="1" /> because there the fire of the <sc>Lordsc> burned among them.p>

And the <sc>Lordsc> came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; he then called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward.p>

<p class="bodytext">Then Moses cried to the <sc>Lordsc>, &#8220;Heal her now, O God.&#8221;<n id="1" />

But truly, as I live,<n id="1" /> all the earth will be filled with the glory of the <sc>Lordsc>.

But Moses said, &#8220;Why<n id="1" /> are you now transgressing the commandment<n id="2" /> of the <sc>Lordsc>? It will not succeed!

Do not go up, for the <sc>Lordsc> is not among you, and you will be<n id="1" /> defeated before your enemies.

then the one who presents his offering to the <sc>Lordsc> must bring<n id="1" /> a grain offering of one-tenth of an ephah of finely ground flour mixed with one fourth of a hin of olive oil.<n id="2" />

And when you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice for discharging a vow or as a peace offering to the <sc>Lordsc>,
