Indeed, ¹  any person who does not behave with humility on this particular day will be cut off from his people. ² 

You must not do any work. This is a perpetual statute throughout your generations ¹  in all the places where you live.

On the first day is a holy assembly; you must do no regular work. ¹ 

The land must not be sold without reclaim ¹  because the land belongs to me, for you are foreigners and residents with me. ² 

If a man has no redeemer, but he prospers ¹  and gains enough for its redemption, ² 

Moreover, ¹  the open field areas of their cities ²  must not be sold, because that is their perpetual possession.

“‘If your brother becomes impoverished with regard to you so that he sells himself to you, you must not subject him to slave service. ¹ 

Since they are my servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt, they must not be sold in a slave sale. ¹ 

He must be with the one who bought him ¹  like a yearly hired worker. ²  The one who bought him ³  must not rule over him harshly in your sight.

If, however, ¹  he is not redeemed in these ways, he must go free ²  in the jubilee year, he and his children with him,

“‘If, however, ¹  you do not obey me and keep ²  all these commandments –

“‘If, in spite of all these things, ¹  you do not obey me, I will discipline you seven times more on account of your sins. ² 

All the days of the desolation it will have the rest it did not have ¹  on your Sabbaths when you lived on it.

“‘If he consecrates to the Lord a field he has purchased, ¹  which is not part of his own landed property,

Any human being who is permanently dedicated ¹  must not be ransomed; such a person must be put to death.

“‘If he cannot afford ¹  two turtledoves or two young pigeons, ²  he must bring as his offering for his sin which he has committed ³  a tenth of an ephah ⁴  of choice wheat flour ⁵  for a sin offering. He must not place olive oil on it and he must not put frankincense on it, because it is a sin offering.

If some of the meat of his peace offering sacrifice is ever eaten on the third day it will not be accepted; it will not be accounted to the one who presented it, since it is spoiled, ¹  and the person who eats from it will bear his punishment for iniquity. ² 

Then she will remain ¹  thirty-three days in blood purity. ²  She must not touch anything holy and she must not enter the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled. ³ 

The priest must then examine it after the infection has been washed out, and if ¹  the infection has not changed its appearance ²  even though the infection has not spread, it is unclean. You must burn it up in the fire. It is a fungus, whether on the back side or front side of the article. ³ 

You must not have sexual intercourse with both a woman and her daughter; you must not take as wife either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter to have intercourse with them. ¹  They are closely related to her ²  – it is lewdness. ³
