<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Elam is there with all her hordes around her grave; all of them struck down by the sword. They went down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth, those who spread terror in the land of the living. Now they will bear their shame with those who descend to the pit.

In all your dwellings, the cities will be laid waste and the high places ruined so that your altars will be laid waste and ruined, your idols will be shattered and demolished, your incense altars will be broken down, and your works wiped out.<n id="1" />

I will stretch out my hand against them<n id="1" /> and make the land a desolate waste from the wilderness to Riblah,<n id="2" /> in all the places where they live. Then they will know that I am the <sc>Lordsc>!&#8221;p>

The end is now upon you, and I will release my anger against you; I will judge<n id="1" /> you according to your behavior,<n id="2" /> I will hold you accountable for<n id="3" /> all your abominable practices.

The time has come; the day has struck! The customer should not rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for divine wrath<n id="1" /> comes against their whole crowd.

Say to them, &#8216;This is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: The prince will raise this burden in Jerusalem,<n id="1" /> and all the house of Israel within it.&#8217;<n id="2" />

&#8220;Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel, &#8216;The days pass slowly, and every vision fails&#8217;?

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Therefore say to the house of Israel, &#8216;This is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: Return! Turn from your idols, and turn your faces away from your abominations.
