They captured it and put the sword to its king, all its surrounding cities, and all who lived in it; they<n id="1" /> left no survivors. As they<n id="2" /> had done at Eglon, they<n id="3" /> annihilated it and all who lived there.p>

The descendants of Joseph were considered as two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim. The Levites were allotted no territory, though they were assigned cities in which to live, along with the grazing areas for their cattle and possessions.<n id="1" />
