<p class="poetry">My mouth will praise the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">Let all who live<n id="2" /> praise his holy name forever!p>

<p class="poetry">the one who made heaven and earth,p> <p class="poetry">the sea, and all that is in them,p> <p class="poetry">who remains forever faithful,<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> rules forever,p> <p class="poetry">your God, O Zion, throughout the generations to come!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">Praise the <sc>Lordsc>!p>

<p class="poetry">All of your people will be godly;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">they will possess the land permanently.p> <p class="poetry">I will plant them like a shoot;p> <p class="poetry">they will be the product of my labor,p> <p class="poetry">through whom I reveal my splendor.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">You will not always be angry with me, will you?p> <p class="poetry">You will not be mad at me forever, will you?&#8217;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">That is what you say,p> <p class="poetry">but you continually do all the evil that you can.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

I will bring terrors on you, and you will be no more! Though you are sought after, you will never be found again, declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221;p>

Then, when my sanctuary is among them forever, the nations will know that I, the <sc>Lord,sc> sanctify Israel.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

Now they must put away their spiritual prostitution and the pillars of their kings far from me, and then I will live among them forever.p>

<p class="poetry">But the wise will shinep> <p class="poetry">like the brightness of the heavenly expanse.p> <p class="poetry">And those bringing many to righteousnessp> <p class="poetry">will be like the stars forever and ever.p>

<p class="poetry">I will commit myself to you<n id="1" /> forever;p> <p class="poetry">I will commit myself to you in<n id="2" /> righteousness and justice,p> <p class="poetry">in steadfast love and tender compassion.p>

<p class="poetry">You wrongly evict widows<n id="1" /> among my people from their cherished homes.p> <p class="poetry">You defraud their children<n id="2" /> of their prized inheritance.<n id="3" />p>

Now be willing to bless your servant&#8217;s dynasty<n id="1" /> so that it may stand permanently before you, for you, O sovereign <sc>Lordsc>, have spoken. By your blessing may your servant&#8217;s dynasty be blessed on into the future!&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

Joining them were Heman, Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the <sc>Lordsc>. (For his loyal love endures!)<n id="1" />

O <sc>Lordsc> God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, maintain the motives of your people and keep them devoted to you.<n id="1" />

Don&#8217;t you realize that the <sc>Lordsc> God of Israel has given David and his dynasty lasting dominion over Israel by a formal agreement?<n id="1" />

Our God, you drove out<n id="1" /> the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and gave it as a permanent possession<n id="2" /> to the descendants of your friend<n id="3" /> Abraham.

He met<n id="1" /> with the people and appointed musicians to play before the <sc>Lordsc> and praise his majestic splendor. As they marched ahead of the warriors they said: &#8220;Give thanks to the <sc>Lordsc>, for his loyal love endures.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

<p class="bodytext">I replied to the king, &#8220;O king, live forever! Why would I not appear dejected when the city with the graves of my ancestors<n id="1" /> lies desolate and its gates destroyed<n id="2" /> by fire?&#8221;
