Then<n id="1" /> he cried out with a loud voice, &#8220;Leave me alone,<n id="2" /> Jesus, Son of the Most High God! I implore you by God<n id="3" /> &#8211; do not torment me!&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer.<n id="3" />

And looking at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said, &#8220;Here<n id="1" /> are my mother and my brothers!

<p class="bodytext">After this he appeared in a different form to two of them while they were on their way to the country.

They were all amazed so that they asked each other, &#8220;What is this? A new teaching with authority! He even commands the unclean spirits and they obey him.&#8221;

Then<n id="1" /> he said to them, &#8220;Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or evil, to save a life or destroy it?&#8221; But they were silent.

She had endured a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet instead of getting better, she grew worse.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone<n id="1" /> tied around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.

After noticing in the distance a fig tree with leaves, he went to see if he could find any fruit<n id="1" /> on it. When he came to it he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

But<n id="1" /> these are the ones sown on good soil: They hear the word and receive it and bear fruit, one thirty times as much, one sixty, and one a hundred.&#8221;p>

and said to them, &#8220;Go to the village ahead of you.<n id="1" /> As soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden.<n id="2" /> Untie it and bring it here.

(For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they perform a ritual washing,<n id="1" /> holding fast to the tradition of the elders.

Jesus said to him, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="1" /> today &#8211; this very night &#8211; before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.&#8221;

But no one is able to enter a strong man&#8217;s<n id="1" /> house and steal his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can thoroughly plunder his house.<n id="2" />

because Herod stood in awe of<n id="1" /> John and protected him, since he knew that John<n id="2" /> was a righteous and holy man. When Herod<n id="3" /> heard him, he was thoroughly baffled,<n id="4" /> and yet<n id="5" /> he liked to listen to John.<n id="6" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Right away, while Jesus<n id="1" /> was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, arrived.<n id="2" /> With him came a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and experts in the law<n id="3" /> and elders.

When Jesus heard this he said to them, &#8220;Those who are healthy don&#8217;t need a physician, but those who are sick do.<n id="1" /> I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.&#8221;p>

who will not receive in this age<n id="1" /> a hundred times as much &#8211; homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, fields, all with persecutions<n id="2" /> &#8211; and in the age to come, eternal life.<n id="3" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Early in the morning, after forming a plan, the chief priests with the elders and the experts in the law<n id="1" /> and the whole Sanhedrin tied Jesus up, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate.<n id="2" />

Joseph of Arimathea, a highly regarded member of the council,<n id="1" /> who was himself looking forward to<n id="2" /> the kingdom of God,<n id="3" /> went boldly to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.<n id="4" />
