Then<n id="1" /> they will see <i>the Son of Mani> <i>arriving in a cloudi><n id="2" /> with power and great glory.

A great number of the people followed him, among them women<n id="1" /> who were mourning<n id="2" /> and wailing for him.

<t /><p class="bodytext">As<n id="1" /> the crowds were increasing, Jesus<n id="2" /> began to say, &#8220;This generation is a wicked generation; it looks for a sign,<n id="3" /> but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.<n id="4" />

She<n id="1" /> exclaimed with a loud voice,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Blessed are you among women,<n id="3" /> and blessed is the child<n id="4" /> in your womb!

But Jesus,<n id="1" /> realizing their thoughts, said to them,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Every kingdom divided against itself is destroyed,<n id="3" /> and a divided household falls.<n id="4" />

And after about an hour still another insisted,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Certainly this man was with him, because he too is a Galilean.&#8221;<n id="2" />

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this,<n id="1" /> he said to himself, &#8220;If this man were a prophet,<n id="2" /> he would know who and what kind of woman<n id="3" /> this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Jesus<n id="1" /> also said to the disciples, &#8220;There was a rich man who was informed of accusations<n id="2" /> that his manager<n id="3" /> was wasting<n id="4" /> his assets.

He<n id="1" /> went into all the region around the Jordan River,<n id="2" /> preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.<n id="3" />p>

A disciple<n id="1" /> is not greater than<n id="2" /> his teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like his teacher.

<p class="bodyblock">For John the Baptist has come<n id="1" /> eating no bread and drinking no wine,<n id="2" /> and you say, &#8216;He has a demon!&#8217;<n id="3" />

For what does it benefit a person<n id="1" /> if he gains the whole world but loses or forfeits himself?

He<n id="1" /> said to them, &#8220;What things?&#8221; &#8220;The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene,&#8221; they replied, &#8220;a man<n id="2" /> who, with his powerful deeds and words, proved to be a prophet<n id="3" /> before God and all the people;

But in truth I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in Elijah&#8217;s days,<n id="1" /> when the sky<n id="2" /> was shut up three and a half years, and<n id="3" /> there was a great famine over all the land.

Those<n id="1" /> on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while,<n id="2" /> but<n id="3" /> in a time of testing<n id="4" /> fall away.<n id="5" />

then the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not foresee, and will cut him in two,<n id="1" /> and assign him a place with the unfaithful.<n id="2" />

But whenever<n id="1" /> you enter a town<n id="2" /> and the people<n id="3" /> do not welcome<n id="4" /> you, go into its streets<n id="5" /> and say,

Then<n id="1" /> he took a cup,<n id="2" /> and after giving thanks he said, &#8220;Take this and divide it among yourselves.

<p class="bodytext">A dispute also started<n id="1" /> among them over which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.<n id="2" />

(This<n id="1" /> was a man who had been thrown into prison for an insurrection<n id="2" /> started in the city, and for murder.)<n id="3" />
