When they had eaten enough to be satisfied,<n id="1" /> they lightened the ship by throwing the wheat<n id="2" /> into the sea.p>

Some were convinced<n id="1" /> by what he said,<n id="2" /> but others refused<n id="3" /> to believe.

But Peter said, &#8220;I have no silver or gold,<n id="1" /> but what I do have I give you. In the name<n id="2" /> of Jesus Christ<n id="3" /> the Nazarene, stand up and<n id="4" /> walk!&#8221;

At once<n id="1" /> she collapsed at his feet and died. So when the young men came in, they found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

<p class="bodytext">Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The<n id="1" /> Lord<n id="2" /> said to him in a vision, &#8220;Ananias,&#8221; and he replied, &#8220;Here I am,<n id="3" /> Lord.&#8221;

But Peter sent them all outside,<n id="1" /> knelt down,<n id="2" /> and prayed. Turning<n id="3" /> to the body, he said, &#8220;Tabitha, get up.&#8221; Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.<n id="4" />

Staring at him and becoming greatly afraid, Cornelius<n id="1" /> replied,<n id="2" /> &#8220;What is it, Lord?&#8221; The angel<n id="3" /> said to him, &#8220;Your prayers and your acts of charity<n id="4" /> have gone up as a memorial<n id="5" /> before God.

The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers<n id="1" /> also went with me, and we entered the man&#8217;s house.

The angel said to him, &#8220;Fasten your belt<n id="1" /> and put on your sandals.&#8221; Peter<n id="2" /> did so. Then the angel<n id="3" /> said to him, &#8220;Put on your cloak<n id="4" /> and follow me.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Now Herod<n id="1" /> was having an angry quarrel<n id="2" /> with the people of Tyre<n id="3" /> and Sidon.<n id="4" /> So they joined together<n id="5" /> and presented themselves before him. And after convincing<n id="6" /> Blastus, the king&#8217;s personal assistant,<n id="7" /> to help them,<n id="8" /> they asked for peace,<n id="9" /> because their country&#8217;s food supply was provided by the king&#8217;s country.

She continued to do this for many days. But Paul became greatly annoyed,<n id="1" /> and turned<n id="2" /> and said to the spirit, &#8220;I command you in the name of Jesus Christ<n id="3" /> to come out of her!&#8221; And it came out of her at once.<n id="4" />

But some in the crowd shouted one thing, and others something else,<n id="1" /> and when the commanding officer<n id="2" /> was unable<n id="3" /> to find out the truth<n id="4" /> because of the disturbance,<n id="5" /> he ordered Paul<n id="6" /> to be brought into the barracks.<n id="7" />

Paul answered,<n id="1" /> &#8220;I am a Jew<n id="2" /> from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of an important city.<n id="3" /> Please<n id="4" /> allow me to speak to the people.&#8221;

When the commanding officer<n id="1" /> had given him permission,<n id="2" /> Paul stood<n id="3" /> on the steps and gestured<n id="4" /> to the people with his hand. When they had become silent,<n id="5" /> he addressed<n id="6" /> them in Aramaic,<n id="7" />p>

So I asked,<n id="1" /> &#8216;What should I do, Lord?&#8217; The Lord said to me, &#8216;Get up<n id="2" /> and go to Damascus; there you will be told about everything<n id="3" /> that you have been designated<n id="4" /> to do.&#8217;

<p class="bodytext">Then when Paul noticed<n id="1" /> that part of them were Sadducees<n id="2" /> and the others Pharisees,<n id="3" /> he shouted out in the council,<n id="4" /> &#8220;Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. I am on trial concerning the hope of the resurrection<n id="5" /> of the dead!&#8221;

There was a great commotion,<n id="1" /> and some experts in the law<n id="2" /> from the party of the Pharisees stood up<n id="3" /> and protested strongly,<n id="4" /> &#8220;We find nothing wrong<n id="5" /> with this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?&#8221;

While Paul<n id="1" /> was discussing<n id="2" /> righteousness, self-control,<n id="3" /> and the coming judgment, Felix<n id="4" /> became<n id="5" /> frightened and said, &#8220;Go away for now, and when I have an opportunity,<n id="6" /> I will send for you.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">When day came, they did not recognize the land, but they noticed<n id="1" /> a bay<n id="2" /> with a beach,<n id="3" /> where they decided to run the ship aground if they could.
