So<n id="1" /> he got up<n id="2" /> and went. There<n id="3" /> he met<n id="4" /> an Ethiopian eunuch,<n id="5" /> a court official of Candace,<n id="6" /> queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasury. He<n id="7" /> had come to Jerusalem to worship,<n id="8" />

All<n id="1" /> who heard him were amazed and were saying, &#8220;Is this not<n id="2" /> the man who in Jerusalem was ravaging<n id="3" /> those who call on this name, and who had come here to bring them as prisoners<n id="4" /> to the chief priests?&#8221;

But Peter sent them all outside,<n id="1" /> knelt down,<n id="2" /> and prayed. Turning<n id="3" /> to the body, he said, &#8220;Tabitha, get up.&#8221; Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.<n id="4" />

with respect to Jesus from Nazareth,<n id="1" /> that<n id="2" /> God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power. He<n id="3" /> went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil,<n id="4" /> because God was with him.<n id="5" />

After removing him, God<n id="1" /> raised up<n id="2" /> David their king. He testified about him:<n id="3" /> &#8216;<b><i>I have found Davidi>b><n id="4" /> the son of Jesse <b><i>to be a man after my hearti>b>,<n id="5" /> who will accomplish everything I want him to do.&#8217;<n id="6" />

For the people who live in Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize<n id="1" /> him,<n id="2" /> and they fulfilled the sayings<n id="3" /> of the prophets that are read every Sabbath by condemning<n id="4" /> him.<n id="5" />

So they were sent on their way by the church, and as they passed through both Phoenicia<n id="1" /> and Samaria, they were relating at length<n id="2" /> the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy<n id="3" /> to all the brothers.

These Jews<n id="1" /> were more open-minded<n id="2" /> than those in Thessalonica,<n id="3" /> for they eagerly<n id="4" /> received<n id="5" /> the message, examining<n id="6" /> the scriptures carefully every day<n id="7" /> to see if these things were so.

because he has set<n id="1" /> a day on which he is going to judge the world<n id="2" /> in righteousness, by a man whom he designated,<n id="3" /> having provided proof to everyone by raising<n id="4" /> him from the dead.&#8221;p>

There he<n id="1" /> found<n id="2" /> a Jew named Aquila,<n id="3" /> a native of Pontus,<n id="4" /> who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius<n id="5" /> had ordered all the Jews to depart from<n id="6" /> Rome.<n id="7" /> Paul approached<n id="8" /> them,

Large numbers<n id="1" /> of those who had practiced magic<n id="2" /> collected their books<n id="3" /> and burned them up in the presence of everyone.<n id="4" /> When<n id="5" /> the value of the books was added up, it was found to total fifty thousand silver coins.<n id="6" />

And you see and hear that this Paul has persuaded<n id="1" /> and turned away<n id="2" /> a large crowd,<n id="3" /> not only in Ephesus<n id="4" /> but in practically all of the province of Asia,<n id="5" /> by saying<n id="6" /> that gods made by hands are not gods at all.<n id="7" />

<p class="bodytext">When they arrived, he said to them, &#8220;You yourselves know how I lived<n id="1" /> the whole time I was with you, from the first day I set foot<n id="2" /> in the province of Asia,<n id="3" />

Watch out for<n id="1" /> yourselves and for all the flock of which<n id="2" /> the Holy Spirit has made you overseers,<n id="3" /> to shepherd the church of God<n id="4" /> that he obtained<n id="5" /> with the blood of his own Son.<n id="6" />

And now I entrust<n id="1" /> you to God and to the message<n id="2" /> of his grace. This message<n id="3" /> is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
