<p class="poetry">But if God<n id="1" /> is quiet, who can condemn<n id="2" /> him?p> <p class="poetry">If he hides his face, then who can see him?p> <p class="poetry">Yet<n id="3" /> he is over the individual and the nation alike,<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">Yet he is compassionate.p> <p class="poetry">He forgives sin and does not destroy.p> <p class="poetry">He often holds back his anger,p> <p class="poetry">and does not stir up his fury.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">He assigns them their allotment;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">he measures out their assigned place.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">They will live there<n id="3" /> permanently;p> <p class="poetry">they will settle in it through successive generations.p>

<p class="poetry">A thoroughfare will be there &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">it will be called the Way of Holiness.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">The unclean will not travel on it;p> <p class="poetry">it is reserved for those authorized to use it<n id="2" /> &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">fools<n id="3" /> will not stray into it.p>
