Pharaoh sent representatives to investigate,<n id="1" /> and indeed, not even one of the livestock of Israel had died. But Pharaoh&#8217;s heart remained hard,<n id="2" /> and he did not release the people.p>

When<n id="1" /> Pharaoh got closer,<n id="2" /> the Israelites looked up,<n id="3" /> and there were the Egyptians marching after them,<n id="4" /> and they were terrified.<n id="5" /> The Israelites cried out to the <sc>Lordsc>,<n id="6" />

<p class="bodytext">As Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> to the whole community of the Israelites and they looked toward the desert, there the glory of the <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> appeared<n id="3" /> in the cloud,

When<n id="1" /> the layer of dew had evaporated,<n id="2" /> there on the surface of the desert was a thin flaky substance,<n id="3" /> thin like frost on the earth.

<p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses: &#8220;I have seen this people.<n id="1" /> Look<n id="2" /> what a stiff-necked people they are!<n id="3" />

When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, the skin of his face shone;<n id="1" /> and they were afraid to approach him.

Moses inspected<n id="1" /> all the work &#8211; and<n id="2" /> they had done it just as the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded &#8211; they had done it exactly &#8211; and Moses blessed them.<n id="3" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Later Moses sought diligently for the sin offering male goat,<n id="1" /> but it had actually been burnt.<n id="2" /> So he became angry at Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron&#8217;s remaining sons, saying,

The priest must then examine it on the seventh day, and if,<n id="1" /> as far as he can see, the infection has stayed the same<n id="2" /> and has not spread on the skin,<n id="3" /> then the priest is to quarantine the person for another seven days.<n id="4" />

The priest will then examine it,<n id="1" /> and if<n id="2" /> a white swelling is on the skin, it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the swelling,<n id="3" />

the priest must then examine it,<n id="1" /> and if<n id="2" /> the disease covers his whole body, he is to pronounce the person with the infection clean.<n id="3" /> He has turned all white, so he is clean.<n id="4" />

The priest will then examine it,<n id="1" /> and if<n id="2" /> it appears to be deeper than the skin<n id="3" /> and its hair has turned white, then the priest is to pronounce the person unclean.<n id="4" /> It is a diseased infection that has broken out in the boil.<n id="5" />

If, however,<n id="1" /> the priest examines it, and<n id="2" /> there is no white hair in it, it is not deeper than the skin, and it has faded, then the priest is to quarantine him for seven days.<n id="3" />

If, however,<n id="1" /> the priest examines it and<n id="2" /> there is no white hair in the bright spot, it is not deeper than the skin,<n id="3" /> and it has faded, then the priest is to quarantine him for seven days.<n id="4" />

then the priest is to examine it, and if<n id="1" /> the scall has spread on the skin the priest is not to search further for reddish yellow hair.<n id="2" /> The person<n id="3" /> is unclean.

the priest is to examine them,<n id="1" /> and if<n id="2" /> the bright spots on the skin of their body are faded white, it is a harmless rash that has broken out on the skin. The person is clean.<n id="3" />p>

The priest is to examine it,<n id="1" /> and if<n id="2" /> the swelling of the infection is reddish white in the back or front bald area like the appearance of a disease on the skin of the body,<n id="3" />

But if the priest examines it and<n id="1" /> the infection has not spread in the garment or in the warp or in the woof or in any article of leather,

The priest is to go outside the camp and examine the infection.<n id="1" /> If the infection of the diseased person has been healed,<n id="2" />

He is to examine the infection, and if<n id="1" /> the infection in the walls of the house consists of yellowish green or reddish eruptions,<n id="2" /> and it appears to be deeper than the surface of the wall,<n id="3" />
