Our ¹  ancestors ²  were unwilling to obey ³  him, but pushed him aside ⁴  and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,

So he said, “Who are you, Lord?” He replied, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting!

So he was staying with them, associating openly with them ¹  in Jerusalem, speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord.

Then Peter started speaking: ¹  “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism in dealing with people, ² 

About him all the prophets testify, ¹  that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins ²  through his name.”

From the descendants ¹  of this man ²  God brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, just as he promised. ³ 

testifying ¹  to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus. ² 

When ¹  I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance ² 

So I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And the Lord replied, ¹  ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

Now the soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners ¹  so that none of them would escape by swimming away. ² 

This same ¹  Moses they had rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and judge?’ ²  God sent as both ruler and deliverer ³  through the hand of the angel ⁴  who appeared to him in the bush.

They said, “Cornelius the centurion, ¹  a righteous ²  and God-fearing man, well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, ³  was directed by a holy angel to summon you to his house and to hear a message ⁴  from you.”

A crowd of people from the towns around Jerusalem ¹  also came together, bringing the sick and those troubled by unclean spirits. ²  They ³  were all ⁴  being healed.

God exalted him ¹  to his right hand as Leader ²  and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. ³ 

But the man who was unfairly hurting his neighbor pushed ¹  Moses ²  aside, saying, ‘Who made ³  you a ruler and judge over us?

Now in that city was a man named Simon, who had been practicing magic ¹  and amazing the people of Samaria, claiming to be someone great.

The man ¹  replied, “How in the world can I, ²  unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

So Saul got up from the ground, but although his eyes were open, ¹  he could see nothing. ²  Leading him by the hand, his companions ³  brought him into Damascus.

Therefore send to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter. This man is staying as a guest in the house of Simon the tanner, ¹  by the sea.’

While they were serving ¹  the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart ²  for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
