But some from the religious party of the Pharisees<n id="1" /> who had believed stood up and said, &#8220;It is necessary<n id="2" /> to circumcise the Gentiles<n id="3" /> and to order them to observe<n id="4" /> the law of Moses.&#8221;p>

But some people<n id="1" /> joined him<n id="2" /> and believed. Among them<n id="3" /> were Dionysius, who was a member of the Areopagus,<n id="4" /> a woman<n id="5" /> named Damaris, and others with them.p>

But the scripture imprisoned<n id="1" /> everything and everyone<n id="2" /> under sin so that the promise could be given &#8211; because of the faithfulness<n id="3" /> of Jesus Christ &#8211; to those who believe.p>

and what is the incomparable<n id="1" /> greatness of his power toward<n id="2" /> us who believe, as displayed in<n id="3" /> the exercise of his immense strength.<n id="4" />

but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we declare it, not to please people but God, who examines our hearts.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that<n id="1" /> God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians.<n id="2" />

But now in his own time<n id="1" /> he has made his message evident through the preaching I was entrusted with according to the command of God our Savior.

Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, &#8220;<b><i>Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousnessi>b>,&#8221;<n id="1" /> and <i>he was called God&#8217;s friendi>.<n id="2" />
