For every time you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.p>

just as also you have partly understood us, that we are your source of pride just as you also are ours<n id="1" /> in the day of the Lord Jesus.<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Therefore, because we know the fear of the Lord,<n id="1" /> we try to persuade<n id="2" /> people,<n id="3" /> but we are well known<n id="4" /> to God, and I hope we are well known to your consciences too.

For you know the grace<n id="1" /> of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was rich, he became poor for your sakes, so that you by his poverty could become rich.

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is blessed forever, knows I am not lying.

But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which<n id="1" /> the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Blessed<n id="1" /> is<n id="2" /> the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed<n id="3" /> us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ.

I pray that<n id="1" /> the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,<n id="2" /> may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation<n id="3" /> in your growing knowledge of him,<n id="4" />

since it was because of the work of Christ that he almost died. He risked his life so that he could make up for your inability to serve me.<n id="1" />p>

so that you may live<n id="1" /> worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects<n id="2" /> &#8211; bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,

And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.p>

<p class="bodytext">And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received<n id="1" /> the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.

For who is our hope or joy or crown to boast of<n id="1" /> before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not of course you?

Then we who are alive, who are left,<n id="1" /> will be suddenly caught up<n id="2" /> together<n id="3" /> with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

and to you who are being afflicted to give rest together with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed<n id="1" /> from heaven with his mighty angels.<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Finally, pray for us, brothers and sisters,<n id="1" /> that the Lord&#8217;s message<n id="2" /> may spread quickly and be honored<n id="3" /> as in fact it was among you,
