You are to make two gold rings for it under its border, on its two flanks; you are to make them on its two sides.<n id="1" /> The rings<n id="2" /> will be places<n id="3" /> for poles to carry it with.

He has filled them with skill<n id="1" /> to do all kinds of work<n id="2" /> as craftsmen, as designers, as embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and in fine linen, and as weavers. They are<n id="3" /> craftsmen in all the work<n id="4" /> and artistic designers.<n id="5" />

So Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person<n id="1" /> in whom the <sc>Lordsc> has put skill<n id="2" /> and ability<n id="3" /> to know how<n id="4" /> to do all the work for the service<n id="5" /> of the sanctuary are to do the work<n id="6" /> according to all that the <sc>Lordsc> has commanded.&#8221;p>

He made all the utensils of the altar &#8211; the pots, the shovels, the tossing bowls, the meat hooks, and the fire pans &#8211; he made all its utensils of bronze.

<t /><p class="bodytext">From the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn they made woven garments for serving in the sanctuary; they made holy garments that were for Aaron, just as the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded Moses.<n id="1" />p>

But<n id="1" /> the midwives feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them; they let the boys live.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Then the king of Egypt summoned<n id="1" /> the midwives and said to them, &#8220;Why have you done this and let the boys live?&#8221;<n id="2" />

So I will extend my hand<n id="1" /> and strike Egypt with all my wonders<n id="2" /> that I will do among them, and after that he will release you.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;So you are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And as for me, I will be with your mouth<n id="1" /> and with his mouth,<n id="2" /> and I will teach you both<n id="3" /> what you must do.<n id="4" />

Aaron spoke<n id="1" /> all the words that the <sc>Lordsc> had spoken to Moses and did the signs in the sight of the people,

No straw is given to your servants, but we are told,<n id="1" /> &#8216;Make bricks!&#8217; Your servants are even<n id="2" /> being beaten, but the fault<n id="3" /> is with your people.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh,<n id="1" /> for compelled by my strong hand<n id="2" /> he will release them, and by my strong hand he will drive them out of his land.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

But the magicians of Egypt did the same<n id="1" /> by their secret arts, and so<n id="2" /> Pharaoh&#8217;s heart remained hard,<n id="3" /> and he refused to listen to Moses and Aaron<n id="4" /> &#8211; just as the <sc>Lordsc> had predicted.

The <sc>Lordsc> did as Moses asked<n id="1" /> &#8211; the<n id="2" /> frogs died out of the houses, the villages, and the fields.

When<n id="1" /> the magicians attempted<n id="2" /> to bring forth gnats by their secret arts, they could not. So there were gnats on people and on animals.

The <sc>Lordsc> did so; a<n id="1" /> thick<n id="2" /> swarm of flies came into<n id="3" /> Pharaoh&#8217;s house and into the houses<n id="4" /> of his servants, and throughout the whole land of Egypt the land was ruined<n id="5" /> because of the swarms of flies.p>

and the <sc>Lordsc> did as Moses asked<n id="1" /> &#8211; he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. Not one remained!

And the <sc>Lordsc> did this<n id="1" /> on the next day;<n id="2" /> all<n id="3" /> the livestock of the Egyptians<n id="4" /> died, but of the Israelites&#8217; livestock not one died.

I will harden<n id="1" /> Pharaoh&#8217;s heart, and he will chase after them. I will gain honor<n id="2" /> because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians will know<n id="3" /> that I am the <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221; So this is what they did.<n id="4" />p>

and they said to Moses, &#8220;Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the desert?<n id="1" /> What in the world<n id="2" /> have you done to us by bringing<n id="3" /> us out of Egypt?
