<p class="bodytext">Then David became very angry at this man. He said to Nathan, &#8220;As surely as the <sc>Lordsc> lives, the man who did this deserves to die!<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">So the Tekoan woman went<n id="1" /> to the king. She bowed down with her face to the ground in deference to him and said, &#8220;Please help me,<n id="2" /> O king!&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s anger again raged against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, &#8220;Go count Israel and Judah.&#8221;<n id="1" />

Ezra blessed the <sc>LORDsc>, the great God, and all the people replied &#8220;Amen! Amen!&#8221; as they lifted their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the <sc>LORDsc> with their faces to the ground.p>
