Then the glory of the <sc>Lordsc> arose from the cherub and moved to the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud while the court was filled with the brightness of the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s glory.

When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved beside them; when the cherubim spread<n id="1" /> their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels did not move from their side.

<p class="poetry">this is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says:p> <p class="poetry">Tear off the turban,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">take off the crown!p> <p class="poetry">Things must change!<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">Exalt the lowly,p> <p class="poetry">bring down the proud!<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">The water made it grow;p> <p class="poetry">underground springs made it grow tall.p> <p class="poetry">Rivers flowed all around the place it was planted,p> <p class="poetry">while smaller channels watered all the trees of the field.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;Therefore this is what the sovereign <sc>Lordsc> says: Because it was tall in stature, and its top reached into the clouds, and it was proud of its height,

My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over the entire face of the earth with no one looking or searching for them.p>

The whole allotment will be eight and a quarter miles<n id="1" /> square, you must set apart the holy allotment with the possession of the city.p>

<p class="poetry">I led them with leather<n id="1" /> cords,p> <p class="poetry">with leather<n id="2" /> ropes;p> <p class="poetry">I lifted the yoke<n id="3" /> from their neck,<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">and gently fed them.<n id="5" />p>

Moses and Aaron did so,<n id="1" /> just as the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded. Moses raised<n id="2" /> the staff<n id="3" /> and struck the water that was in the Nile right before the eyes<n id="4" /> of Pharaoh and his servants,<n id="5" /> and all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood.<n id="6" />

Everyone making an offering of silver or bronze brought it as<n id="1" /> an offering to the <sc>Lordsc>, and everyone who had acacia wood<n id="2" /> for any work of the service brought it.<n id="3" />

Then the priest must put on his linen robe and must put linen leggings<n id="1" /> over his bare flesh, and he must take up the fatty ashes of the burnt offering that the fire consumed on the altar,<n id="2" /> and he must place them<n id="3" /> beside the altar.

and the priest<n id="1" /> must take up with his hand some of the choice wheat flour of the grain offering<n id="2" /> and some of its olive oil, and all of the frankincense that is on the grain offering, and he must offer its memorial portion<n id="3" /> up in smoke on the altar<n id="4" /> as a soothing aroma to the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="5" />

All the raised offerings of the holy things that the Israelites offer to the <sc>Lordsc>, I have given to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual ordinance. It is a covenant of salt<n id="1" /> forever before the <sc>Lordsc> for you and for your descendants with you.&#8221;p>

But I have given<n id="1" /> to the Levites for an inheritance the tithes of the Israelites that are offered<n id="2" /> to the <sc>Lordsc> as a raised offering. That is why I said to them that among the Israelites they are to have no inheritance.&#8221;p>

&#8220;You are to speak to the Levites, and you must tell them, &#8216;When you receive from the Israelites the tithe that I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you are to offer up<n id="1" /> from it as a raised offering to the <sc>Lordsc> a tenth of the tithe.

Thus you are to offer up a raised offering to the <sc>Lordsc> of all your tithes which you receive from the Israelites; and you must give the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s raised offering from it to Aaron the priest.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You must exact<n id="1" /> a tribute for the <sc>Lordsc> from the fighting men who went out to battle: one life out of five hundred, from the people, the cattle, and from the donkeys and the sheep.

All the gold of the offering they offered up to the <sc>Lordsc> from the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds weighed 16,750 shekels.<n id="1" />

They departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day<n id="1" /> after the Passover the Israelites went out defiantly<n id="2" /> in plain sight<n id="3" /> of all the Egyptians.

What is going to happen to us? Our brothers have drained away our courage<n id="1" /> by describing people who are more numerous<n id="2" /> and taller than we are, and great cities whose defenses appear to be as high as heaven<n id="3" /> itself! Moreover, they said they saw<n id="4" /> Anakites<n id="5" /> there.&#8221;
