They got their gifts ready for Joseph’s arrival ¹  at noon, for they had heard ²  that they were to have a meal ³  there.

Moses said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘About midnight ¹  I will go throughout Egypt, ² 

Make for them linen undergarments to cover their naked bodies; ¹  they must cover ²  from the waist to the thighs.

He prepared the inner sanctuary inside the temple so that the ark of the covenant of the Lord could be placed there.

So he picked him up and took him to his mother. He sat on her lap ¹  until noon and then died.

For all of them, ¹  the morning is to them like deep darkness; they are friends with the terrors of darkness.

During the evening, morning, and noontime I will lament and moan, ¹  and he will hear ²  me. ³ 

Your navel ¹  is a round mixing bowl ²  – may it never lack ³  mixed wine! ⁴  Your belly ⁵  is a mound of wheat, encircled ⁶  by lilies.

In the fire ¹  were what looked like ²  four living beings. ³  In their appearance they had human form, ⁴ 

As for their appearance, all four of them looked the same, something like a wheel within a wheel. ¹ 

Mark out the routes for the sword to take: “Rabbah of the Ammonites” and “Judah with Jerusalem in it.” ¹ 

Indeed, ¹  Gaza will be deserted ²  and Ashkelon will become a heap of ruins. ³  Invaders will drive away the people of Ashdod by noon, ⁴  and Ekron will be overthrown. ⁵ 

Then a round lead cover was raised up, revealing a woman sitting inside the basket.

But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’ ¹ 

He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying ¹  and singing hymns to God, ²  and the rest of ³  the prisoners were listening to them.

I saw an amber glow ¹  like a fire enclosed all around ²  from his waist up. From his waist down I saw something that looked like fire. There was a brilliant light around it,

On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which lies to the east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, leaving a great valley. Half the mountain will move northward and the other half southward. ¹ 

The Lord appeared to Abraham ¹  by the oaks ²  of Mamre while ³  he was sitting at the entrance ⁴  to his tent during the hottest time of the day.

The water returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the army of Pharaoh that was coming after the Israelites into the sea ¹  – not so much as one of them survived! ²
