and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to ¹  all the fullness of God.

I pray that ¹  the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ²  may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation ³  in your growing knowledge of him, ⁴ 

until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – a mature person, attaining to ¹  the measure of Christ’s full stature. ² 

When reading this, ¹  you will be able to ²  understand my insight into this secret ³  of Christ.

They are darkened in their understanding, ¹  being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.

if indeed ¹  you have heard of the stewardship ²  of God’s grace that was given to me for you,

because you know that each person, whether slave or free, if he does something good, this ¹  will be rewarded by the Lord.

Tychicus, my ¹  dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you, so that you too may know about my circumstances, ²  how I am doing.

I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our circumstances ¹  and that he may encourage your hearts.

– since the eyes of your ¹  heart have been enlightened ²  – so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, ³  what is the wealth of his glorious ⁴  inheritance in the saints,

that you were at that time without the Messiah, ¹  alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, ²  having no hope and without God in the world.

Masters, ¹  treat your slaves ²  the same way, ³  giving up the use of threats, ⁴  because you know that both you and they have the same master in heaven, ⁵  and there is no favoritism with him.
