He put five basins on the south side of the temple and five on the north side. He put “The Sea” on the south side, in the southeast corner.

Micaiah ¹  said, “That being the case, hear the word of the Lord. I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, with all the heavenly assembly standing on his right and on his left.

This woman’s child suffocated ¹  during the night when she rolled ²  on top of him.

He arranged the wood, cut up the bull, and placed it on the wood.

On top of each stand was a round opening three-quarters of a foot deep; ¹  there were also supports and frames on top of the stands.

He set up the pillars on the porch in front of the main hall. He erected one pillar on the right ¹  side and called it Jakin; ²  he erected the other pillar on the left ³  side and called it Boaz. ⁴ 

Solomon sat on his father David’s throne, and his royal authority ¹  was firmly solidified.

Let them bring us two bulls. Let them choose one of the bulls for themselves, cut it up into pieces, and place it on the wood. But they must not set it on fire. I will do the same to the other bull and place it on the wood. But I will not set it on fire.

Jeroboam and all the people reported ¹  to Rehoboam on the third day, just as the king had ordered when he said, “Return to me on the third day.”

He built temples ¹  on the high places and appointed as priests people who were not Levites.

He produced manuals on botany, describing every kind of plant, ¹  from the cedars of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows on walls. He also produced manuals on biology, describing ²  animals, birds, insects, and fish.

But now the Lord my God has made me secure on all fronts; there is no adversary or dangerous threat.

With the authority of the Lord ¹  he cried out against the altar, “O altar, altar! This is what the Lord says, ‘Look, a son named Josiah will be born to the Davidic dynasty. He will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who offer sacrifices on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’” ² 

On these frames and joints were ornamental lions, bulls, and cherubs. Under the lions and bulls were decorative wreaths. ¹ 

So he started back on another road; he did not travel back on the same road he had taken to Bethel.

“The Sea” stood on top of twelve bulls. Three faced northward, three westward, three southward, and three eastward. “The Sea” was placed on top of them, and they all faced outward. ¹ 

There were six steps leading up to the throne, and the back of it was rounded on top. The throne had two armrests with a statue of a lion standing on each side. ¹ 

As the prophet from Judah was traveling, a lion attacked him on the road and killed him. ¹  His corpse was lying on the road, and the donkey and the lion just stood there beside it. ² 

Bathsheba replied, “That’s fine, ¹  I’ll speak to the king on your behalf.”
