So Moses brought their case before the Lord.

Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to the whole community.

God brought them ¹  out of Egypt. They have, as it were, the strength of a wild bull. ² 

He has brought you near and all your brothers, the sons of Levi, with you. Do you now seek ¹  the priesthood also?

Why ¹  have you brought up the Lord’s community into this wilderness? So that ²  we and our cattle should die here?

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord your God.”

So Moses brought out all the staffs from before the Lord to all the Israelites. They looked at them, ¹  and each man took his staff.

So Miriam was shut outside of the camp for seven days, and the people did not journey on until Miriam was brought back in. ¹ 

“‘Now this is the law of the Nazirite: When the days of his separation are fulfilled, he must be brought ¹  to the entrance of the tent of meeting,

Moses said to the Lord, “When the Egyptians hear ¹  it – for you brought up this people by your power from among them –

Then on the next morning Balak took Balaam, and brought him up to Bamoth Baal. ¹  From there he saw the extent of the nation.

Then Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but on the contrary ¹  you have only blessed them!” ² 

They brought ¹  their offering before the Lord, six covered carts ²  and twelve oxen – one cart for every two of the leaders, and an ox for each one; and they presented them in front of the tabernacle.

Is it a small thing ¹  that you have brought us up out of the land that flows with milk and honey, ²  to kill us in the wilderness? Now do you want to make yourself a prince ³  over us?

Moreover, ¹  you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey, nor given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Do you think you can blind ²  these men? We will not come up.”

So when we cried to the Lord, he heard our voice and sent a messenger, ¹  and has brought us up out of Egypt. Now ²  we are here in Kadesh, a town on the edge of your country. ³ 

And the people spoke against God and against Moses, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness, for there is no bread or water, and we ¹  detest this worthless ²  food.”

Then Balaam ¹  uttered ²  his oracle, saying, “Balak, the king of Moab, brought me ³  from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, ‘Come, pronounce a curse on Jacob for me; come, denounce Israel.’ ⁴ 

They brought the captives and the spoils and the plunder to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the Israelite community, to the camp on the plains ¹  of Moab, along the Jordan River ²  across from Jericho. ³ 

So Moses and Eleazar the priest received the gold from the commanders of thousands and commanders ¹  of hundreds and brought it into the tent of meeting as a memorial ²  for the Israelites before the Lord.
