Now if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons<n id="1" /> cast them<n id="2" /> out? Therefore they will be your judges.

I<n id="1" /> begged<n id="2" /> your disciples to cast it out, but<n id="3" /> they could not do so.&#8221;<n id="4" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> entered the temple courts<n id="3" /> and began to drive out those who were selling things there,<n id="4" />

So<n id="1" /> he sent still a third. They even wounded this one, and threw him out.

But some of them said, &#8220;By the power of Beelzebul,<n id="1" /> the ruler<n id="2" /> of demons, he casts out demons.&#8221;

But if I cast out demons by the finger<n id="1" /> of God, then the kingdom of God<n id="2" /> has already overtaken<n id="3" /> you.

So<n id="1" /> they threw him out of the vineyard and killed<n id="2" /> him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

How can you say to your brother, &#8216;Brother, let me remove the speck from your eye,&#8217; while you yourself don&#8217;t see the beam in your own? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother&#8217;s eye.p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">John answered,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop<n id="2" /> him because he is not a disciple<n id="3" /> along with us.&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> he was casting out a demon that was mute.<n id="2" /> When<n id="3" /> the demon had gone out, the man who had been mute began to speak,<n id="4" /> and the crowds were amazed.

So<n id="1" /> if<n id="2" /> Satan too is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? I ask you this because<n id="3" /> you claim that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

But<n id="1" /> he said to them, &#8220;Go<n id="2" /> and tell that fox,<n id="3" /> &#8216;Look, I am casting out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day<n id="4" /> I will complete my work.<n id="5" />

They got up, forced<n id="1" /> him out of the town,<n id="2" /> and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that<n id="3" /> they could throw him down the cliff.<n id="4" />

<p class="poetry">&#8220;Blessed are you when people<n id="1" /> hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject you as evil<n id="2" /> on account of the Son of Man!

He<n id="1" /> said to them, &#8220;The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest<n id="2" /> to send out<n id="3" /> workers into his harvest.

The<n id="1" /> next day he took out two silver coins<n id="2" /> and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, &#8216;Take care of him, and whatever else you spend, I will repay you when I come back this way.&#8217;<n id="3" />

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth<n id="1" /> when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,<n id="2" /> and all the prophets in the kingdom of God<n id="3" /> but you yourselves thrown out.<n id="4" />
