<t /><p class="bodytext">Now when evening came, his disciples went down to the lake,<n id="1" />

and said to Jesus,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.

Jesus found a young donkey<n id="1" /> and sat on it, just as it is written,

Now there is<n id="1" /> in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate<n id="2" /> a pool called <i>Bethzathai><n id="3" /> in Aramaic,<n id="4" /> which has five covered walkways.<n id="5" />

A large crowd was following him because they were observing the miraculous signs he was performing on the sick.

Some of them were wanting to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him.<n id="1" />p>

The experts in the law<n id="1" /> and the Pharisees<n id="2" /> brought a woman who had been caught committing adultery. They made her stand in front of them

Then they picked up<n id="1" /> stones to throw at him,<n id="2" /> but Jesus hid himself and went out from the temple area.<n id="3" />p>

&#8220;<b><i>Do not be afraid, people of Zion;i>b><n id="1" /> <i><b>look, your king is coming, seated on a donkeyb>&#8217;<b>s colt!b>i>&#8221;<n id="2" />

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved<n id="1" /> leaned back against Jesus&#8217; chest and asked him, &#8220;Lord, who is it?&#8221;

I glorified you on earth by completing<n id="1" /> the work you gave me to do.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">Then Jesus, because he knew everything that was going to happen to him,<n id="1" /> came and asked them, &#8220;Who are you looking for?&#8221;<n id="2" />

But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

<t /><p class="bodytext">After this<n id="1" /> Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias.<n id="2" /> Now this is how he did so.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> John testified,<n id="2" /> &#8220;I saw the Spirit descending like a dove<n id="3" /> from heaven,<n id="4" /> and it remained on him.<n id="5" />

Jacob&#8217;s well was there, so Jesus, since he was tired from the journey, sat right down beside<n id="1" /> the well. It was about noon.<n id="2" />p>

Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles,<n id="1" /> they caught sight of Jesus walking on the lake,<n id="2" /> approaching the boat, and they were frightened.

Then they wanted to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat came to the land where they had been heading.p>

<p class="bodytext">So then they tried to seize Jesus,<n id="1" /> but no one laid a hand on him, because his time<n id="2" /> had not yet come.

When they persisted in asking him, he stood up straight<n id="1" /> and replied,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Whoever among you is guiltless<n id="3" /> may be the first to throw a stone at her.&#8221;
