Now when Jesus saw a large crowd ¹  around him, he gave orders to go to the other side of the lake. ² 

Although it grieved the king, ¹  because of his oath and the dinner guests he commanded it to be given.

He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. ¹  Then Pilate ordered that it be given to him.

Peter ¹  said to him, ²  “Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water.”

Because ¹  he was not able to repay it, ²  the lord ordered him to be sold, along with ³  his wife, children, and whatever he possessed, and repayment to be made.

So give orders to secure the tomb until the third day. Otherwise his disciples may come and steal his body ¹  and say to the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”

Then ¹  he instructed the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, and looking up to heaven he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He gave them to the disciples, ²  who in turn gave them to the crowds. ³
