All this took ¹  about four hundred fifty years. After this ²  he gave them judges until the time of ³  Samuel the prophet.

He ¹  commanded us to preach to the people and to warn ²  them ³  that he is the one ⁴  appointed ⁵  by God as judge ⁶  of the living and the dead.

but since it concerns points of disagreement ¹  about words and names and your own law, settle ²  it yourselves. I will not be ³  a judge of these things!”
