Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death ¹  without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ² 

Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, ¹  any affection or mercy, ² 

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, ¹  kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

Blessed is ¹  the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, ¹  by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice – alive, holy, and pleasing to God ²  – which is your reasonable service.
