I have desired ¹  no one’s silver or gold or clothing.

None of the rest dared to join them, ¹  but the people held them in high honor. ² 

However, ¹  Paul ²  shook ³  the creature off into the fire and suffered no harm.

If then I am in the wrong ¹  and have done anything that deserves death, I am not trying to escape dying, ²  but if not one of their charges against me is true, ³  no one can hand me over to them. ⁴  I appeal to Caesar!” ⁵ 

And because they saw the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say against this. ¹ 

(For the Spirit ¹  had not yet come upon ²  any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) ³ 

and he made no distinction ¹  between them and us, cleansing ²  their hearts by faith.

So they all seized Sosthenes, the president of the synagogue, ¹  and began to beat ²  him in front of the judgment seat. ³  Yet none of these things were of any concern ⁴  to Gallio.

You know that I did not hold back from proclaiming ¹  to you anything that would be helpful, ²  and from teaching you publicly ³  and from house to house,

When his accusers stood up, they did not charge ¹  him with any of the evil deeds I had suspected. ² 

and as they were leaving they said to one another, ¹  “This man is not doing anything deserving ²  death or imprisonment.”

And now I advise ¹  you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship will be lost. ² 

“We found the jail locked securely and the guards standing at the doors, but when we opened them, ¹  we found no one inside.”

So Saul got up from the ground, but although his eyes were open, ¹  he could see nothing. ²  Leading him by the hand, his companions ³  brought him into Damascus.

(All the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there used to spend their time ¹  in nothing else than telling ²  or listening to something new.) ³ 

because I am with you, and no one will assault ¹  you to harm ²  you, because I have many people in this city.”

Therefore I urge you to take some food, for this is important ¹  for your survival. ²  For not one of you will lose a hair from his head.”

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people ¹  by which we must ²  be saved.”

For some time ago ¹  Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men joined him. He ²  was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and nothing came of it. ³ 

But I do not consider my life ¹  worth anything ²  to myself, so that ³  I may finish my task ⁴  and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news ⁵  of God’s grace.
