<t /><p class="bodytext">Now a man named Ananias, together with Sapphira his wife, sold a piece of property.

Eat anything that is sold in the marketplace without questions of conscience,

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Jesus entered the temple area<n id="2" /> and drove out all those who were selling and buying in the temple courts,<n id="3" /> and turned over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves.

Aren&#8217;t five sparrows sold for two pennies?<n id="1" /> Yet not one of them is forgotten before God.

Likewise, just as it was<n id="1" /> in the days of Lot, people<n id="2" /> were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;

<n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">He found in the temple courts<n id="2" /> those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at tables.<n id="3" />

sold<n id="1" /> a field<n id="2" /> that belonged to him and brought the money<n id="3" /> and placed it at the apostles&#8217; feet.p>

Aren&#8217;t two sparrows sold for a penny?<n id="1" /> Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father&#8217;s will.<n id="2" />

&#8216;No,&#8217; they replied.<n id="1" /> &#8216;There won&#8217;t be enough for you and for us. Go instead to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.&#8217;

To those who sold the doves he said, &#8220;Take these things away from here! Do not make<n id="1" /> my Father&#8217;s house a marketplace!&#8221;<n id="2" />

For there was no one needy<n id="1" /> among them, because those who were owners of land or houses were selling<n id="2" /> them<n id="3" /> and bringing the proceeds from the sales

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, that a person found and hid. Then because of joy he went and sold all that he had and bought that field.p>

Jesus said to him, &#8220;If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money<n id="1" /> to the poor, and you will have treasure<n id="2" /> in heaven. Then come, follow me.&#8221;

Sell your possessions<n id="1" /> and give to the poor.<n id="2" /> Provide yourselves purses that do not wear out &#8211; a treasure in heaven<n id="3" /> that never decreases,<n id="4" /> where no thief approaches and no moth<n id="5" /> destroys.

When Jesus heard this, he said to him, &#8220;One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have<n id="1" /> and give the money<n id="2" /> to the poor,<n id="3" /> and you will have treasure<n id="4" /> in heaven. Then<n id="5" /> come, follow me.&#8221;

He said to them, &#8220;But now, the one who<n id="1" /> has a money bag must take it, and likewise a traveler&#8217;s bag<n id="2" /> too. And the one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one.

Thus no one was allowed to buy<n id="1" /> or sell things<n id="2" /> unless he bore<n id="3" /> the mark of the beast &#8211; that is, his name or his number.<n id="4" />

As Jesus looked at him, he felt love for him and said, &#8220;You lack one thing. Go, sell whatever you have and give the money<n id="1" /> to the poor, and you will have treasure<n id="2" /> in heaven. Then come, follow me.&#8221;
