Many ¹  came to him and began to say, “John ²  performed ³  no miraculous sign, but everything John said about this man ⁴  was true!”

And the person who saw it ¹  has testified (and his testimony is true, and he ²  knows that he is telling the truth), ³  so that you also may believe.

Finally, brothers and sisters, ¹  whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.

Through Silvanus, ¹  whom I know to be a faithful brother, ²  I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testify ³  that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it. ⁴
