So they began to discuss with one another about having no bread.<n id="1" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">When the disciples went to the other side, they forgot to take bread.

So<n id="1" /> they began to discuss this among themselves, saying, &#8220;It is because we brought no bread.&#8221;

Or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you took up?

Now<n id="1" /> there were five thousand men<n id="2" /> who ate the bread.<n id="3" />p>

He asked them, &#8220;How many loaves do you have?&#8221; They replied, &#8220;Seven.&#8221;

He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He<n id="1" /> gave them to his<n id="2" /> disciples to serve the people, and he divided the two fish among them all.

They<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;We have here only five loaves and two fish.&#8221;

Jesus said to them, &#8220;How many loaves do you have?&#8221; They replied, &#8220;Seven &#8211; and a few small fish.&#8221;

When Jesus learned of this,<n id="1" /> he said, &#8220;You who have such little faith!<n id="2" /> Why are you arguing<n id="3" /> among yourselves about having no bread?

Do you still not understand? Don&#8217;t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

And they saw that some of Jesus&#8217; disciples ate their bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

he took the seven loaves and the fish, and after giving thanks, he broke them and began giving them to the disciples, who then gave them to the crowds.<n id="1" />

He said to them, &#8220;How many loaves do you have? Go and see.&#8221; When they found out, they said, &#8220;Five &#8211; and two fish.&#8221;

When he learned of this,<n id="1" /> Jesus said to them, &#8220;Why are you arguing<n id="2" /> about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Have your hearts been hardened?

When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?&#8221; They replied, &#8220;Twelve.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> he said to them, &#8220;Suppose one of you<n id="2" /> has a friend, and you go to him<n id="3" /> at midnight and say to him, &#8216;Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,<n id="4" />

&#8220;Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what good<n id="1" /> are these for so many people?&#8221;p>

Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed the bread to those who were seated. He then did the same with the fish,<n id="1" /> as much as they wanted.
