For if there was glory in the ministry that produced condemnation, ¹  how much more does the ministry that produces righteousness ²  excel ³  in glory!

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

If it is service, he must serve; if it is teaching, he must teach;

how much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be? ¹ 

We do not give anyone ¹  an occasion for taking an offense in anything, ²  so that no fault may be found with our ministry.

Pray ¹  that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea and that my ministry in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

because the service of this ministry is not only providing for ¹  the needs of the saints but is also overflowing with many thanks to God.

Now in those ¹  days, when the disciples were growing in number, ²  a complaint arose on the part of the Greek-speaking Jews ³  against the native Hebraic Jews, ⁴  because their widows ⁵  were being overlooked ⁶  in the daily distribution of food. ⁷ 

But if the ministry that produced death – carved in letters on stone tablets ¹  – came with glory, so that the Israelites ²  could not keep their eyes fixed on the face of Moses because of the glory of his face ³  (a glory ⁴  which was made ineffective), ⁵
