For if someone weak sees you who possess knowledge dining in an idol&#8217;s temple, will not his conscience be &#8220;strengthened&#8221;<n id="1" /> to eat food offered to idols?

But I have a few things against you: You have some people there who follow the teaching of Balaam,<n id="1" /> who instructed Balak to put a stumbling block<n id="2" /> before the people<n id="3" /> of Israel so they would eat food sacrificed to idols and commit sexual immorality.<n id="4" />

But I have this against you: You tolerate that<n id="1" /> woman<n id="2" /> Jezebel,<n id="3" /> who calls herself a prophetess, and by her teaching deceives<n id="4" /> my servants<n id="5" /> to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.<n id="6" />
