When he met us in Assos, ¹  we took him aboard ²  and went to Mitylene. ³ 

From there we cast off ¹  and arrived at Rhegium, ²  and after one day a south wind sprang up ³  and on the second day we came to Puteoli. ⁴ 

We ¹  sailed away from Philippi ²  after the days of Unleavened Bread, ³  and within five days ⁴  we came to the others ⁵  in Troas, ⁶  where we stayed for seven days.

We set sail ¹  from there, and on the following day we arrived off Chios. ²  The next day we approached ³  Samos, ⁴  and the day after that we arrived at Miletus. ⁵ 

After ¹  we ²  tore ourselves away ³  from them, we put out to sea, ⁴  and sailing a straight course, ⁵  we came to Cos, ⁶  on the next day to Rhodes, ⁷  and from there to Patara. ⁸ 

On the next day we left ¹  and came to Caesarea, ²  and entered ³  the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, ⁴  and stayed with him.

With difficulty we sailed along the coast ¹  of Crete ²  and came to a place called Fair Havens that was near the town of Lasea. ³
