And I hope that you will realize that we have not failed the test!<n id="1" />

Now we pray to God that you may not do anything wrong, not so that we may appear to have passed the test,<n id="1" /> but so that you may do what is right<n id="2" /> even if we may appear to have failed the test.<n id="3" />

God<n id="1" /> made the one who did not know sin<n id="2" /> to be sin for us, so that in him<n id="3" /> we would become the righteousness of God.p>

For we rejoice whenever we are weak, but you are strong. And we pray for this: that you may become fully qualified.<n id="1" />

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord,<n id="1" /> are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another,<n id="2" /> which is from<n id="3" /> the Lord, who is the Spirit.<n id="4" />p>

For we who are alive are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus&#8217; sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible<n id="1" /> in our mortal body.<n id="2" />

But since we have the same spirit of faith as that shown in<n id="1" /> what has been written, &#8220;<b><i>I believed; therefore I spokei>b>,&#8221;<n id="2" /> we also believe, therefore we also speak.

So then from now on we acknowledge<n id="1" /> no one from an outward human point of view.<n id="2" /> Even though we have known Christ from such a human point of view,<n id="3" /> now we do not know him in that way any longer.

For if any of the Macedonians should come with me and find that you are not ready to give, we would be humiliated<n id="1" /> (not to mention you) by this confidence we had in you.<n id="2" />

You are looking at outward appearances.<n id="1" /> If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should reflect on this again: Just as he himself belongs to Christ, so too do we.

But we will not boast beyond certain limits,<n id="1" /> but will confine our boasting<n id="2" /> according to the limits of the work to which God has appointed us,<n id="3" /> that reaches even as far as you.

And what I am doing I will continue to do, so that I may eliminate any opportunity for those who want a chance to be regarded as our equals<n id="1" /> in the things they boast about.

(To my disgrace<n id="1" /> I must say that we were too weak for that!)<n id="2" /> But whatever anyone else dares to boast about<n id="3" /> (I am speaking foolishly), I also dare to boast about the same thing.<n id="4" />

For indeed he was crucified by reason of weakness, but he lives because of God&#8217;s power. For we also are weak in him, but we will live together with him, because of God&#8217;s power toward you.

But if we are afflicted,<n id="1" /> it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort that you experience in your patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer.

And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are<n id="1" /> the temple of the living God, just as God said, &#8220;<b><i>I will live in themi>b><n id="2" /> <i><b>and will walk among themb>, <b>and I will be their Godb>, <b>and they will be my peopleb>i>.&#8221;<n id="3" />
