<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> as Jesus was going out of the temple courts and walking away, his disciples came to show him the temple buildings.<n id="2" />

I<n id="1" /> tell you that something greater than the temple is here.

and he would not permit anyone to carry merchandise<n id="1" /> through the temple courts.<n id="2" />

Then the devil took him to the holy city,<n id="1" /> had him stand<n id="2" /> on the highest point<n id="3" /> of the temple,

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> while some were speaking about the temple, how it was adorned<n id="2" /> with beautiful stones and offerings,<n id="3" /> Jesus<n id="4" /> said,

Then they picked up<n id="1" /> stones to throw at him,<n id="2" /> but Jesus hid himself and went out from the temple area.<n id="3" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> as Jesus<n id="2" /> was going out of the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, &#8220;Teacher, look at these tremendous stones and buildings!&#8221;<n id="3" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">So<n id="1" /> while he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John,<n id="2" /> and Andrew asked him privately,

She had lived as a widow since then for eighty-four years.<n id="1" /> She never left the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day.<n id="2" />

Don&#8217;t you know that those who serve in the temple<n id="1" /> eat food from the temple, and those who serve at the altar receive a part of the offerings?

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> the devil<n id="2" /> brought him to Jerusalem,<n id="3" /> had him stand<n id="4" /> on the highest point of the temple,<n id="5" /> and said to him, &#8220;If<n id="6" /> you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here,

So he made a whip of cords<n id="1" /> and drove them all out of the temple courts,<n id="2" /> with the sheep and the oxen. He scattered the coins of the money changers<n id="3" /> and overturned their tables.

And a man lame<n id="1" /> from birth<n id="2" /> was being carried up, who was placed at the temple gate called &#8220;the Beautiful Gate&#8221; every day<n id="3" /> so he could beg for money<n id="4" /> from those going into the temple courts.<n id="5" />

and they recognized him as the man who used to sit and ask for donations<n id="1" /> at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with astonishment and amazement<n id="2" /> at what had happened to him.p>

The whole city was stirred up,<n id="1" /> and the people rushed together.<n id="2" /> They seized<n id="3" /> Paul and dragged him out of the temple courts,<n id="4" /> and immediately the doors were shut.
