for they heard them speaking in tongues and praising<n id="1" /> God. Then Peter said,

both Jews and proselytes,<n id="1" /> Cretans and Arabs &#8211; we hear them speaking in our own languages about the great deeds God has done!&#8221;<n id="2" />

When this sound<n id="1" /> occurred, a crowd gathered and was in confusion,<n id="2" /> because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
