The Word<n id="1" /> was with God in the beginning.

So<n id="1" /> they left the town and began coming<n id="2" /> to him.p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;I will not abandon<n id="1" /> you as orphans,<n id="2" /> I will come to you.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus<n id="1" /> before and who was one of the rulers,<n id="2" /> said,<n id="3" />

Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away.<n id="1" />

And she saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus&#8217; body had been lying, one at the head and one at the feet.

So the disciples began to say<n id="1" /> to one another, &#8220;No one brought him anything<n id="2" /> to eat, did they?&#8221;<n id="3" />

&#8220;Sir,&#8221; the official said to him, &#8220;come down before my child dies.&#8221;

You have sent to John,<n id="1" /> and he has testified to the truth.

but you are not willing to come to me so that you may have life.p>

<p class="bodytext">So then they said to him, &#8220;What must we do to accomplish the deeds<n id="1" /> God requires?&#8221;<n id="2" />

So they said to him, &#8220;Sir,<n id="1" /> give us this bread all the time!&#8221;p>

So when Mary<n id="1" /> heard this, she got up quickly and went to him.

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people<n id="1" /> to myself.&#8221;

(Now none of those present at the table<n id="1" /> understood<n id="2" /> why Jesus<n id="3" /> said this to Judas.<n id="4" />

concerning righteousness,<n id="1" /> because<n id="2" /> I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer;

Then Annas sent him, still tied up,<n id="1" /> to Caiaphas the high priest.<n id="2" />p>

So they came to John and said to him, &#8220;Rabbi, the one who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River,<n id="1" /> about whom you testified &#8211; see, he is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to him!&#8221;p>
