So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him:<n id="1" /> &#8220;God forbid,<n id="2" /> Lord! This must not happen to you!&#8221;

And he said to him, &#8220;I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship<n id="1" /> me.&#8221;

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom<n id="1" /> on the day of judgment than for you!&#8221;p>

because John had repeatedly told<n id="1" /> him, &#8220;It is not lawful for you to have her.&#8221;<n id="2" />

Jesus said to him, &#8220;Not seven times, I tell you, but seventy-seven times!<n id="1" />p>

&#8220;Woe to you, Chorazin!<n id="1" /> Woe to you, Bethsaida! If<n id="2" /> the miracles<n id="3" /> done in you had been done in Tyre<n id="4" /> and Sidon,<n id="5" /> they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

I tell you the truth,<n id="1" /> you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!<n id="2" />p>

And if someone wants to sue you and to take your tunic,<n id="1" /> give him your coat also.

Then<n id="1" /> an expert in the law<n id="2" /> came to him and said, &#8220;Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.&#8221;<n id="3" />

Then the slave threw himself to the ground<n id="1" /> before him, saying,<n id="2" /> &#8216;Be patient with me, and I will repay you everything.&#8217;

Then his fellow slave threw himself down and begged him,<n id="1" /> &#8216;Be patient with me, and I will repay you.&#8217;

Take what is yours and go. I<n id="1" /> want to give to this last man<n id="2" /> the same as I gave to you.

Tell us then, what do you think? Is it right<n id="1" /> to pay taxes<n id="2" /> to Caesar<n id="3" /> or not?&#8221;p>

Peter<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;If they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away!&#8221;

so that your gift may be in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.<n id="1" />p>

Then Jesus said to the centurion, &#8220;Go; just as you believed, it will be done for you.&#8221; And the servant<n id="1" /> was healed at that hour.p>

They<n id="1" /> cried out, &#8220;Son of God, leave us alone!<n id="2" /> Have you come here to torment us before the time?&#8221;<n id="3" />

If<n id="1" /> he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. If<n id="2" /> he refuses to listen to the church, treat him like<n id="3" /> a Gentile<n id="4" /> or a tax collector.<n id="5" />p>

Then his lord called the first slave<n id="1" /> and said to him, &#8216;Evil slave! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me!

Then Peter said<n id="1" /> to him, &#8220;Look,<n id="2" /> we have left everything to follow you!<n id="3" /> What then will there be for us?&#8221;
