This Jesus ¹  is the stone that was rejected by you, ²  the builders, that has become the cornerstone. ³ 

What then? Are we better off? Certainly not, for we have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin,

So for me, it is a minor matter that I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.

and through your help to go on into Macedonia and then from Macedonia to come back ¹  to you and be helped on our way into Judea by you.

We did this ¹  as a precaution so that no one should blame us in regard to this generous gift we are administering.

when I go to Spain. For I hope to visit you when I pass through and that you will help me ¹  on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while.

In addition, ¹  this brother ²  has also been chosen by the churches as our traveling companion as we administer this generous gift ³  to the glory of the Lord himself and to show our readiness to help. ⁴
