Now ¹  when the hour came, Jesus ²  took his place at the table ³  and the apostles joined ⁴  him.

Now ¹  the whole crowd ²  of people were praying outside at the hour of the incense offering. ³ 

for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment ¹  what you must say.” ² 

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” ¹ 

It was now ¹  about noon, ²  and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, ³ 

At that moment, ¹  she came up to them ²  and began to give thanks to God and to speak ³  about the child ⁴  to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem. ⁵ 

At that very time ¹  Jesus ²  cured many people of diseases, sicknesses, ³  and evil spirits, and granted ⁴  sight to many who were blind.

At that time, ¹  some Pharisees ²  came up and said to Jesus, ³  “Get away from here, ⁴  because Herod ⁵  wants to kill you.”

At ¹  the time for the banquet ²  he sent his slave ³  to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, because everything is now ready.’

So ¹  they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. ²  They ³  found the eleven and those with them gathered together

But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief ¹  was coming, he would not have let ²  his house be broken into.

then the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not foresee, and will cut him in two, ¹  and assign him a place with the unfaithful. ² 

Then ¹  the experts in the law ²  and the chief priests wanted to arrest ³  him that very hour, because they realized he had told this parable against them. But ⁴  they were afraid of the people.

Day after day when I was with you in the temple courts, ¹  you did not arrest me. ²  But this is your hour, ³  and that of the power ⁴  of darkness!”

On that same occasion ¹  Jesus ²  rejoiced ³  in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praise ⁴  you, Father, Lord ⁵  of heaven and earth, because ⁶  you have hidden these things from the wise ⁷  and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will. ⁸
