And this is what we intend to do,<n id="1" /> if God permits.

For our <b><i>God is indeed a devouring firei>b>.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="otpoetry"><i><b>You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessnessb>.i>p> <p class="otpoetry"><i><b>So Godb>, <b>your Godb>, <b>has anointed you over your companionsb>i><n id="1" /> <i><b>with the oil of rejoicingb>.i>&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

But as it is,<n id="1" /> they aspire to a better land, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

and said, &#8220;<b><i>This is the blood of the covenant that God has commanded you to keepi>b>.&#8221;<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,

For he was looking forward to the city with firm foundations,<n id="1" /> whose architect and builder is God.

and he reasoned<n id="1" /> that God could even raise him from the dead, and in a sense<n id="2" /> he received him back from there.

<p class="bodytext">Endure your suffering<n id="1" /> as discipline;<n id="2" /> God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

And do not neglect to do good and to share what you have,<n id="1" /> for God is pleased with such sacrifices.p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">After God spoke long ago<n id="1" /> in various portions<n id="2" /> and in various ways<n id="3" /> to our ancestors<n id="4" /> through the prophets,

but of<n id="1" /> the Son he says,<n id="2" />p> <p class="otpoetry">&#8220;<i><b>Your throneb>, <b>O Godb>i>, <i><b>is forever and everb>,i><n id="3" />p> <p class="otpoetry"><b><i>and a righteous scepteri>b><n id="4" /> <i><b>is the scepter of your kingdomb>.i>p>

Again he says,<n id="1" /> &#8220;I will be confident in him,&#8221; and again, &#8220;<i><b>Here I amb>,i><n id="2" /> <b><i>withi>b><n id="3" /> <b><i>the children God has given mei>b>.&#8221;<n id="4" />

For he has spoken somewhere about the seventh day in this way: &#8220;<b><i>And God rested on the seventh day from all his worksi>b>,&#8221;<n id="1" />

For the one who enters God&#8217;s<n id="1" /> rest has also rested from his works, just as God did from his own works.

In the same way<n id="1" /> God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable,<n id="2" /> and so he intervened with an oath,
