Furthermore, those who have fallen asleep ¹  in Christ have also perished.

Do we not have the right to financial support? ¹ 

So if you have ordinary lawsuits, do you appoint as judges those who have no standing in the church? ¹ 

And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

For though you may have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, because I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

All flesh is not the same: People have one flesh, animals have another, birds and fish another. ¹ 

And I say this, brothers and sisters: ¹  The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none,

Some have become arrogant, ¹  as if I were not coming to you.

But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with ¹  his own wife and each woman with ²  her own husband.

The fact that you have lawsuits among yourselves demonstrates that you have already been defeated. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

For this reason a woman should have a symbol of authority ¹  on her head, because of the angels. ² 

If anyone intends to quarrel about this, we have no other practice, nor do the churches of God.

so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another.

With regard to the question about people who have never married, ¹  I have no command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one shown mercy by the Lord to be trustworthy.

Not all have gifts of healing, do they? Not all speak in tongues, do they? Not all interpret, do they? ¹ 

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

Already you are satisfied! Already you are rich! You have become kings without us! I wish you had become kings so that we could reign with you!

For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Are you not to judge those inside?
