He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem.

He did evil because he was not determined to follow the Lord. ¹ 

Jehoiachin was eighteen ¹  years old when he became king, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem. ²  He did evil in the sight of ³  the Lord.

He burned the bones of the pagan priests ¹  on their altars; he purified Judah and Jerusalem.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned for fifty-five years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned for thirty-one years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he ruled for eleven years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

He said, “The Lord God of Israel is worthy of praise because he has fulfilled ¹  what he promised ²  my father David.

He decorated the temple with precious stones; the gold he used came from Parvaim. ¹ 

Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned for two years in Jerusalem. ¹ 

He built up Tadmor in the wilderness and all the storage cities he had built in Hamath.

He built towers in the desert and dug many cisterns, for he owned many herds in the lowlands ¹  and on the plain. He had workers in the fields and vineyards in the hills and in Carmel, ²  for he loved agriculture. ³ 

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem. ¹  He did evil in the sight of ²  the Lord his God.

He overlaid the temple’s rafters, thresholds, walls and doors with gold; he carved decorative cherubim on the walls.

He followed in the footsteps of ¹  the kings of Israel; he also made images of the Baals.

He made the courtyard of the priests and the large enclosure and its doors; ¹  he plated their doors with bronze.

He was committed to following the Lord; ¹  he even removed the high places and Asherah poles from Judah.

When he had secured control of the kingdom, ¹  he executed the servants who had assassinated his father. ²
