I will make Ahab’s dynasty ¹  like those of Jeroboam son of Nebat and Baasha son of Ahijah.

He burned down the Lord’s temple, the royal palace, and all the houses in Jerusalem, including every large house. ¹ 

He followed in the footsteps of Ahab’s dynasty and did evil in the sight of ¹  the Lord, like Ahab’s dynasty, for he was related to Ahab’s family. ² 

The royal bodyguard ¹  took their stations, each holding his weapon in his hand. They lined up from the south side of the temple to the north side and stood near the altar and the temple, surrounding the king. ² 

He tore down the quarters ¹  of the male cultic prostitutes in the Lord’s temple, where women were weaving shrines ²  for Asherah.

Hezekiah gave him all the silver in ¹  the Lord’s temple and in the treasuries of the royal palace.

The gatekeepers relayed the news to the royal palace. ¹ 

They hauled out the sacred pillar of the temple of Baal and burned it.

Then Ahaz took the silver and gold that were ¹  in the Lord’s temple and in the treasuries of the royal palace and sent it as tribute ²  to the king of Assyria.

He also removed the Sabbath awning ¹  that had been built ²  in the temple and the king’s outer entranceway, on account of the king of Assyria. ³ 

Isaiah ¹  asked, “What have they seen in your palace?” Hezekiah replied, “They have seen everything in my palace. I showed them everything ²  in my treasuries.”

So Naaman came with his horses and chariots and stood in the doorway of Elisha’s house.

Amon’s servants conspired against him and killed the king in his palace.

May the Lord forgive your servant for this one thing: When my master enters the temple of Rimmon to worship, and he leans on my arm and I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the Lord forgive your servant for this.” ¹ 

Have them hand it over to the construction foremen ¹  assigned to the Lord’s temple. They in turn should pay the temple workers to repair it, ² 

Hezekiah welcomed ¹  them and showed them his whole storehouse, with its silver, gold, spices, and high quality olive oil, as well as his armory and everything in his treasuries. Hezekiah showed them everything in his palace and in his whole kingdom. ² 

When Elisha arrived at the house, there was ¹  the child lying dead on his bed.

When he arrived at the hill, he took them from the servants ¹  and put them in the house. Then he sent the men on their way. ² 

Ahab’s entire family will die. I ¹  will cut off every last male belonging to Ahab in Israel, including even the weak and incapacitated. ²
