<t /><p class="bodytext">In the eighth month of Darius&#8217;<n id="1" /> second year,<n id="2" /> the word of the <sc>Lordsc> came to the prophet Zechariah,<n id="3" /> son of Berechiah son of Iddo, as follows:p>

I will bend Judah as my bow; I will load the bow with Ephraim, my arrow!<n id="1" /> I will stir up your sons, Zion, against yours, Greece, and I will make you, Zion,<n id="2" /> like a warrior&#8217;s sword.p>

Though I scatter<n id="1" /> them among the nations, they will remember in far-off places &#8211; they and their children will sprout forth and return.

So he said, &#8220;These are the two anointed ones<n id="1" /> who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.&#8221;p>

Then take some silver and gold to make a crown<n id="1" /> and set it on the head of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

The crown will then be turned over to Helem,<n id="1" /> Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen<n id="2" /> son of Zephaniah as a memorial in the temple of the <sc>Lordsc>.

<t /><p class="bodytext">On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month <i>Shebati>, in Darius&#8217; second year,<n id="1" /> the word of the <sc>Lordsc> came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berechiah son of Iddo, as follows:p>

The Ephraimites will be like warriors and will rejoice as if they had drunk wine. Their children will see it and rejoice; they will celebrate in the things of the <sc>Lordsc>.

&#8220;Choose some people<n id="1" /> from among the exiles, namely, Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, all of whom have come from Babylon, and when you have done so go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah.<n id="2" />

<p class="poetry">Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!p> <p class="poetry">Shout, daughter of Jerusalem!p> <p class="poetry">Look! Your king is coming to you:p> <p class="poetry">he is legitimate<n id="1" /> and victorious,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">humble and riding on a donkey<n id="3" /> &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">on a young donkey, the foal of a female donkey.p>
