when your cattle and flocks increase, when you have plenty of silver and gold, and when you have abundance of everything,

And there you must take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the personal offerings you have prepared,<n id="1" /> your votive offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.

You will not be allowed to eat in your villages your tithe of grain, new wine, olive oil, the firstborn of your herd and flock, any votive offerings you have vowed, or your freewill and personal offerings.

<t /><p class="bodytext">You must set apart<n id="1" /> for the <sc>Lordsc> your God every firstborn male born to your herds and flocks. You must not work the firstborn of your bulls or shear the firstborn of your flocks.

You must sacrifice the Passover animal<n id="1" /> (from the flock or the herd) to the <sc>Lordsc> your God in the place where he<n id="2" /> chooses to locate his name.

If the place he<n id="1" /> chooses to locate his name is too far for you, you may slaughter any of your herd and flock he<n id="2" /> has given you just as I have stipulated; you may eat them in your villages<n id="3" /> just as you wish.

In the presence of the <sc>Lordsc> your God you must eat from the tithe of your grain, your new wine,<n id="1" /> your olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the place he chooses to locate his name, so that you may learn to revere the <sc>Lordsc> your God always.

Then you may spend the money however you wish for cattle, sheep, wine, beer, or whatever you desire. You and your household may eat there in the presence of the <sc>Lordsc> your God and enjoy it.

Then the elders of the city nearest to the corpse<n id="1" /> must take from the herd a heifer that has not been worked &#8211; that has never pulled with the yoke &#8211;

<p class="poetry">butter from the herdp> <p class="poetry">and milk from the flock,p> <p class="poetry">along with the fat of lambs,p> <p class="poetry">rams and goats of Bashan,p> <p class="poetry">along with the best of the kernels of wheat;p> <p class="poetry">and from the juice of grapes you drank wine.p>
