So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations<n id="1" /> that come against Jerusalem.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> will go to battle<n id="1" /> and fight against those nations, just as he fought battles in ancient days.<n id="2" />

But I am greatly displeased with the nations that take my grace for granted.<n id="1" /> I was a little displeased with them, but they have only made things worse for themselves.p>

&#8216;Rather, I will sweep them away in a storm into all the nations they are not familiar with.&#8217; Thus the land had become desolate because of them, with no one crossing through or returning, for they had made the fruitful<n id="1" /> land a waste.&#8221;p>

And it will come about that just as you (both Judah and Israel) were a curse to the nations, so I will save you and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid! Instead, be strong!&#8217;p>

Many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the <sc>Lordsc> who rules over all and to ask his favor.

Moreover, Judah will fight at<n id="1" /> Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered up<n id="2" /> &#8211; gold, silver, and clothing in great abundance.

This will be the punishment of Egypt and of all nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.p>

For the <sc>Lordsc> who rules over all says to me that for his own glory<n id="1" /> he has sent me to the nations that plundered you &#8211; for anyone who touches you touches the pupil<n id="2" /> of his<n id="3" /> eye.

&#8220;Many nations will join themselves to the <sc>Lordsc> on the day of salvation,<n id="1" /> and they will also be my<n id="2" /> people. Indeed, I will settle in the midst of you all.&#8221; Then you will know that the <sc>Lordsc> who rules over all has sent me to you.

The <sc>Lordsc> who rules over all says, &#8216;In those days ten people from all languages and nations will grasp hold of &#8211; indeed, grab &#8211; the robe of one Jew and say, &#8220;Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.&#8221;&#8217;&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">I will remove<n id="1" /> the chariot from Ephraimp> <p class="poetry">and the warhorse from Jerusalem,p> <p class="poetry">and the battle bow will be removed.p> <p class="poetry">Then he will announce peace to the nations.p> <p class="poetry">His dominion will be from sea to seap> <p class="poetry">and from the Euphrates River<n id="2" /> to the ends of the earth.p>

Moreover, on that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy burden<n id="1" /> for all the nations, and all who try to carry it will be seriously injured;<n id="2" /> yet all the peoples of the earth will be assembled against it.

For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem<n id="1" /> to wage war; the city will be taken, its houses plundered, and the women raped. Then half of the city will go into exile, but the remainder of the people will not be taken away.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Then all who survive from all the nations that came to attack Jerusalem will go up annually to worship the King, the <sc>Lordsc> who rules over all, and to observe the Feast of Tabernacles.<n id="1" />

If the Egyptians will not do so, they will get no rain &#8211; instead there will be the kind of plague which the <sc>Lordsc> inflicts on any nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

I asked, &#8220;What are these going to do?&#8221; He answered, &#8220;These horns are the ones that have scattered Judah so that there is no one to be seen.<n id="1" /> But the blacksmiths have come to terrify Judah&#8217;s enemies<n id="2" /> and cut off the horns of the nations that have thrust themselves against the land of Judah in order to scatter its people.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>
