<p class="bodytext">Then a champion<n id="1" /> came out from the camp of the Philistines. His name was Goliath; he was from Gath. He was close to seven feet tall.<n id="2" />

As he was speaking with them, the champion named Goliath, the Philistine from Gath, was coming up from the battle lines of the Philistines. He spoke the way he usually did,<n id="1" /> and David heard it.

Yet another battle occurred with the Philistines in Gob. On that occasion Elhanan the son of Jair<n id="1" /> the Bethlehemite killed the brother of Goliath the Gittite,<n id="2" /> the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver&#8217;s beam.
