He observed the daily requirements for sacrifices that Moses had specified for Sabbaths, new moon festivals, and the three annual celebrations &#8211; the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Temporary Shelters.<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You must observe<n id="1" /> the Feast of Weeks &#8211; the firstfruits of the harvest of wheat &#8211; and the Feast of Ingathering at the end<n id="2" /> of the year.

<p class="poetry">&#8220;I absolutely despise<n id="1" /> your festivals!p> <p class="poetry">I get no pleasure<n id="2" /> from your religious assemblies!p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You are also to observe<n id="1" /> the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors that you have sown in the field, and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year<n id="2" /> when you have gathered in<n id="3" /> your harvest<n id="4" /> out of the field.

For seven days<n id="1" /> you must eat<n id="2" /> bread made without yeast, and on the seventh day there is to be<n id="3" /> a festival to the <sc>Lordsc>.

<p class="poetry">Sound the ram&#8217;s horn on the day of the new moon,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">and on the day of the full moon when our festival begins.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">So what will you do on the festival day,p> <p class="poetry">on the festival days of the <sc>Lordsc>?p>

Three times a year all your males must appear before the <sc>Lordsc> your God in the place he chooses for the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Temporary Shelters; and they must not appear before him<n id="1" /> empty-handed.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You must not offer<n id="1" /> the blood of my sacrifice with bread containing yeast; the fat of my festal sacrifice must not remain until morning.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">When<n id="1" /> Aaron saw this,<n id="2" /> he built an altar before it,<n id="3" /> and Aaron made a proclamation<n id="4" /> and said, &#8220;Tomorrow will be a feast<n id="5" /> to the <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You must not offer the blood of my sacrifice with yeast; the sacrifice from the feast of Passover must not remain until the following morning.<n id="1" />p>

Then on the fifteenth day of the same month<n id="1" /> will be the festival of unleavened bread to the <sc>Lordsc>; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.

And on the fifteenth day of this month is the festival. For seven days bread made without yeast must be eaten.

He<n id="1" /> commanded them: &#8220;At the end of seven years, at the appointed time of the cancellation of debts,<n id="2" /> at the Feast of Temporary Shelters,<n id="3" />

All the men of Israel assembled before the king during the festival<n id="1" /> in the seventh month.<n id="2" />

Moses said, &#8220;We will go with our young and our old, with our sons and our daughters, and with our sheep and our cattle we will go, because we are to hold<n id="1" /> a pilgrim feast for the <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221;p>
