<t /><p class="poetry">They will not remain in the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s land.p> <p class="poetry">Ephraim will return to Egypt;p> <p class="poetry">they will eat ritually unclean food in Assyria.p>

<p class="poetry">They will return in fear and trembling<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">like birds from Egypt,p> <p class="poetry">like doves from Assyria,p> <p class="poetry">and I will settle them in their homes,&#8221; declares the <sc>Lordsc>.p>

<p class="poetry">&#8220;I am the <sc>Lordsc> your God<n id="1" /> who brought you<n id="2" /> out of Egypt;p> <p class="poetry">I will make you live in tents again as in the days of old.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">People will reside again<n id="1" /> in his shade;p> <p class="poetry">they will plant and harvest grain in abundance.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">They will blossom like a vine,p> <p class="poetry">and his fame will be like the wine from Lebanon.p>

<t /><p class="poetry">Hear the word of the <sc>Lordsc>, you Israelites!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">For the <sc>Lordsc> has a covenant lawsuit<n id="2" /> against the people of Israel.<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">For there is neither faithfulness nor loyalty in the land,p> <p class="poetry">nor do they acknowledge God.<n id="4" />p>
